So what is Tech23? Punchcard selected for Tech23 2010

Punchcard will showcase VideoTrace at Tech23 2010 to be held in Sydney on Thursday 19th August, 2010. Punchcard was selected as one of the 23 most innovative ICT companies in Australia and will show off its VideoTrace technology and business model to an audience of 400+ potential investors, mentors, entrepreneurs and customers at a full day event run by SlatteryIT.

Tech23 aims to:

Provide an opportunity to celebrate and encourage innovation
Accelerate commercialisation opportunities through showcasing, sharing and networking opportunities
Bring to light young companies and give them the opportunity to showcase their innovative solution or product
Provide potential deal-flow to the investment community, including angel investors, venture capital firms, strategic investors, corporate investors

The 2010 iAwards: VideoTrace wins State Award

Punchcard has been announced as the South Australian Award Winner in the Research and Development category of the 2010 iAwards. Punchcard won the award for VideoTrace, which was recognised as the state’s most outstanding ICT R&D project. The Research and Development category, sponsored by IBM, recognises innovations that demonstrate a high level of creativity in deploying appropriate technologies to develop the product, a strong mix of functions and features, and a focus on customer needs.

Punchcard is now in the running for the national 2010 iAwards, to be announced in early August, and to represent Australia at the Asia Pacific ICT Awards (APICTA).

VideoTrace beta 0.2.9 just released

We’ve just released VideoTrace beta 0.2.9 and posted it to the server for our beta user group to download. Thank you to everyone for registering, participating in the beta testing and for the feedback that you’ve provided so far. If you registered a while back and haven’t heard from us yet then please let us know.

If you only just heard about VideoTrace and would like to participate in the beta testing program, visit our beta registration form and enter your details, and we’ll be in touch with you in the coming days to get you started.

Next VideoTrace beta update coming soon

We’ve been working on some fairly significant changes to VideoTrace over the past couple of months in preparation for the next beta release. The new version allows you to use multiple video sequences for easier modelling of large objects, and provides the ability to add your own tracks manually to improve tracking results.

We’ll be finalising the release and completing testing in the next two weeks and will then push out the new version for you to test. If you haven’t yet joined the beta testing program then click here to register.

VideoTrace at CeBIT Australia 2010

CeBit Australia 2010 is just around the corner, taking place next week in Sydney from May 24-26 at the Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre in Darling Harbour. For those making their way to Sydney for the event (or those already living there!), you can see VideoTrace in action on the show floor. We’ll be demonstrating VideoTrace on the South Australian Government Stand (G12), which is located in the Future Parc section between Halls 3 and 4. Stop by, try the software and have a chat with us about what VideoTrace can do for you.

New beta, new users

Last week we release VideoTrace beta 0.2.6 to our beta user group and this week we’ve now activated a batch of new users. Thank you to everyone for registering, participating in the beta testing and for the feedback that you’ve provided so far. We’ve just sent out an email to everyone that’s registered for the VideoTrace beta since mid-December last year. Welcome, new beta users! If you were expecting to receive that email but haven’t (perhaps due to spam filters, solar winds or the GFC), please let us know — we don’t want you to miss out.

Now that the beta program is in full swing we’ll be aiming to activate batches of new users more frequently, although these will often be timed around each new beta build so that we’re continually delivering an improved product. That means the reward for those that have to wait a little longer is an even better VideoTrace experience. Visit our beta registration form and enter your details, and we’ll be in touch with you in the coming weeks to get you started.
